The Rexford, Mont., station of the Great Northern Railway was established in 1903. It was closed in 1972 when the railroad was rerouted due to the flooding of the area behind the Libby Dam. Great Northern Dock Company.

The company was incorporated by the Great Northern in 1917 to acquire property in Smith's Cove on which to build dock facilities. The company was not successful in acquiring the property it wanted and, as a result, Great Northern management decided to dissolve it in 1921. The company was formally dissolved in 1922.
